CIOCAN's next annual conference, the CIO Peer Forum, with the theme "Be the Business: Meeting the Future Head-On", will take place in Toronto on April 19-20, 2012 at the Allstream Centre, and will be hosted by the CIO Association's Toronto Chapter.

2011 CIO Peer Forum, April 7-8, Vancouver

The 2011 CIO Peer Forum was very successfully held in Vancouver, British Columbia on April 7-8, 2011, hosted by the association's Vancouver Chapter at the Terminal City Club. The theme was "The CIO Imperative: Creating C-Level Synergy" and focused on the issues associated with encouraging and enhancing the CIO's position at the corporate management table.

2010 CIO Peer Forum, April 15-16, Toronto

The theme for the 2010 CIO Peer Forum, "Re-branding the CIO: Leadership is More than Just Getting Things Done", focused on the changing role of IT leadership and evolution of the CIO position. The community of IT industry peers, experts, leaders and practitioners met to explore, discuss, learn and ultimately change the way the CIO is perceived so that CIOs are no longer viewed solely as respondents and supporters, but as leaders, business strategists and agents of change.
