Benefits of Membership

As a CIO Association national or local chapter member, you are part of an online network of senior IT executives, and you have access to exclusive information and opportunities, including:

  • Entry to the "Members Only" section of CIOCAN website.
  • Access to past National and Chapter presentations.
  • Entry to online CIO discussion forums on top CIO issues.
  • Creation of your own "Member Profile" listing your education, employment history, industry and technology, management expertise and career achievements. You can specify the range of contacts to whom your profile items are visible.
  • Access to the "Member Directory" where you can find colleagues to help you with specific questions or concerns.
  • The right to use CIOCAN's archive of policy and research materials.

Membership Eligibility

  • CIOs and Senior IT Managers
  • Academics engaged in the management and research of IT
  • Direct reports of CIOs, when membership is sponsored by the CIO
  • With CIOCAN Board approval, Senior Executives or Partners from firms that assist in the advancement of the IT profession.

CIOCAN Non-Marketing Policy

The CIO Association of Canada events provide professional development as well as networking opportunities. Because the Association is a not-for-profit organization, its primary interest is in serving the needs of its members. Marketing activities and vendor relations are secondary and these are pursued only in conjunction with the CIO Association's annual CIO Peer Forum.

Membership Fees

The CIO Association of Canada is a professional association with individual membership. The annual membership fee is $750 for a full member, $600 for Associate members and $375 for Academic membership, plus applicable taxes. Please contact us for additional details.
