Your people use social computing networks – perhaps not at work – but they do use such networks. Have you implemented such a system in the workplace? Have you blocked access at all network points? This e-Seminar will explore the business productivity gains that can be achieved by the appropriate use of social computing networks.
The topic will cover what it means and looks like to enable and facilitate communities (ie. social networking) and Why is this important to CIO success (moving IT from commoditization threat to"value"). The session will be a study of how the new generations (X, Y, V - post 1991) make use of collaboration as a space for learning, communicating, exchanging information, and functioning. This covers understanding the new workforce and how they naturally use tools that are still new to the enterprise.

In more complex business environments, CIO Survival Tactics need to carefully balance both value creation and cost cutting realities. This session will highlight 5 Nail Crunching (aka Cost-Cutting) and 5 Value Creation strategies.

Will more CIO’s be moving into the ranks of COO or CEO? This e-Seminar will explore the advantages and disadvantages of combining such functions.
