Lan Nguyen | Deputy Chief Information Officer, City of Toronto
Lan Nguyen is the Deputy Chief Information Officer of the City of Toronto responsible for a diversified enterprise portfolio to support city program operations and service delivery to Toronto citizen and businesses. Her mandate is to create business value through business transformation, IT innovation, resource optimization and to enable city services more accessible and relevant to customers and Toronto public. Lan has accumulated over 40 years of experience spanning a diverse discipline of strategic planning, partnership development, software development, organization development and service transformation in various executive, managerial and consulting roles in both public sector, academic and corporate setting. Prior to joining the City, Lan held the role of Vice President/Chief Information Officer of Innovations and Partnerships at Centennial College where she helped establish a new IT governance in directing IT investment priorities toward student services improvement and academic competitive advantage. She was instrumental in developing many successful Centennial’s strategic partnerships with IT industry which opened many opportunities that enhanced the College’s learning and teaching environment.
Robert Pope | Senior Strategic I&IT Advisor, Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority (RPRA)
Robert Pope is currently providing I&IT leadership for the complex multi-year transition of Waste Diversion Ontario into a newly created Government of Ontario Authority (RPRA). Robert has over 30 years’ business and IT leadership experience centred on IT strategy, operations and innovation. Previously, Robert was CIO with Technical Standards and Safety Authority. He has also held IT leadership roles with Certified Management Accountants of Ontario, Canada Post, and Air Canada.
Robert earned an MBA from the University of Toronto, and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) professional designation from CMA Ontario. Additional studies in IT were completed at Queen’s University, the Interac Association and SAP Canada. Robert currently serves as a board member with the CIO Association of Canada (Toronto Chapter) and previously contributed on the Advisory Committee for the Council of IT Executives (CITE) with the Conference Board of Canada.

Yasemin Sezer has been with LTI Canada and its predecessor organizations for over 15 years and currently Heads Technology Delivery organization. She is responsible for end-to-end delivery of technology solutions spanning Architecture, Business Analysis, Development, Testing and PMO both in Canada and globally. Yasemin oversees delivery of multi-tenant cloud based solutions for Transfer Agency applications for Wealth/Asset Management, Big Data/AIM solutions for Reporting and Analytics, Web Services/ Micro-services, Digital Case and Content Management, Client and Advisor Portals, Digital Transformation and Automation solutions for both Business and IT. Yasemin has taken the organization through full transformation in the last 3 years driving significant improvements in quality, client satisfaction and full automation of SDLC.
Yasemin has a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.

Currently the Director of IT & Business Systems at Active Exhaust Corp, Kevin Tucker is a senior IT leader with over 25 years of experience. He has Global responsibility for setting the path of the company’s technology ecosystem toward a heightened sense of employee & customer collaboration and efficiency.
Kevin’s experience includes public, private, government, and not-for-profit organizations, across numerous industry verticals. His IT experience includes both the Application and Infrastructure side of the IT function, and his executive level experience spans beyond the borders of IT. Kevin has lead both profit centres and cost centres; thus providing him with critical knowledge of the challenges that cost-constrained business units face on a daily basis.
Combining his wide array of Education and Strategic Management, Kevin keeps the organization focused on leveraging technology to not only support business objectives, but to encourage a spirit of innovation and the development of new products or services that drive effectiveness while also pleasing customers.

Scott Wu is the VP of Technology at Compass Digital Labs which is driving innovation for Compass Group North America, an organization that generates $16 billion in revenue a year. He oversees the technical strategy of the company and is devoted to building a team of world class designers, engineers and data scientists. He is often described as a tech geek with a unique ability to understand the big picture. Scott developed emerging technologies early on while working in various telecommunication companies.
