CIOCAN: Call for Nominations for National and Chapter Boards

CIOCAN is the association of IT leaders in Canada.  CIOCAN is the only professional association whose mission is to assist CIOs, CISOs and senior IT professionals in their quest for excellence.  This is achieved through focused education, knowledge-sharing and professional networking to expand our members’ network of connections and is encapsulated in our vision of: Growth. Influence. Impact.

CIOCAN’s governance model is volunteer driven and a strong Board of Directors helps to ensure the consistent, high quality programs and services that CIOCAN members want. This is an exciting time to be a part of the CIOCAN team, as we seek to enhance membership value and grow the association.

To facilitate the preparation of the slate and to ensure that the process is open to all members, the Nominating Committee is now issuing a Call for Nominations from the members of CIOCAN. We are seeking candidates to participate on one of:

  • the CIOCAN National Board of Directors
  • the CIOCAN Chapter Boards of Directors (for Toronto, Ottawa, Manitoba, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver)

  • Mentoring and Professional Development

  • Marketing & Social Media

CIOCAN Board members must be available to attend a minimum of approximately six Board meetings per year and to take on a leadership role with one of a number of standing portfolios. It is imperative that nominees have the support of their employers to fulfill these volunteer duties.
