Breakout Session E: Demystifying Law Enforcement’s Role in Cybercrime and Protecting Critical Infrastructure. (Security)

Wednesday May 3, 2:05 pm - 2:50 pm

Session description

Law enforcement plays an important role in cyber security today. From taking down international cybercrime groups to providing actionable cyber-intelligence to businesses, law enforcement’s involvement is very important in protecting private/public sector organizations and critical infrastructure against cyber-attacks.  Many organizations are not fully aware of law enforcement’s role in cyber security, including how to contact the appropriate law enforcement agencies when a cyber-attack does occur.

Join us for an insightful panel discussion on law enforcement’s involvement in protecting critical infrastructure and public/private sector businesses.

Hear from  the RCMP’s Chris Lynam, Director General of the National Cybercrime Coordination Unit, and Robert Antonishen, Director of Cybersecurity and Compliance at BC Hydro, as they share their perspectives and experiences on protecting critical infrastructure and demystifying law enforcement’s role in cybercrime.
