UofA Exec Ed Partnership

New CIOCAN/Alberta School of Business Partnership Provides Executive Education at Special Rate

The CIO Association of Canada and Executive Education at the Alberta School of Business are pleased to announce a partnership that will provide Executive Education at a special rate for CIOCAN members.   The partnership offers a 15% discount to participate in the Management Essentials Program, the Executive Program, and all short course offerings.  The discount is available to all CIOCAN members, their direct and indirect reports, as well as their fellow executives and board members.
CIOCAN Edmonton Chapter president Shaun Guthrie says, “Leadership development is a critical pillar of our mandate.  We trust that members and prospective members alike will see value in this new partnership with one of the world’s premier business schools, and will take advantage of the opportunity to prepare themselves and their teams to meet future business challenges.”
Tyler Waye, Director at the Alberta School of Business describes the programs on offer.   “For up-and coming leaders we have The Management Essentials Program, often described as a “mini-MBA”.  It is a twelve-day, four module program designed to provide a rich yet concise survey of graduate level business courses.  Managers and leaders meet to examine current research, and apply concepts to current case studies and business scenarios.  Next start date is November 12, 2013.  The Executive Program is a high level, four module program for senior executives charged with setting strategic direction for their organizations.  The program focuses on the exploration and application of foundational principles:  Vision, Mission, Strategy and Implementation.  Next offering for this program is March 2014.
