Director of Cybersecurity and Compliance, BC Hydro

Rob Antonishen joined BC Hydro in 2021 as the Director of Cybersecurity and Compliance. He is responsible for BC Hydro’s cyber resilience across the enterprise including its critical infrastructure, as well as compliance with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards to protect the Bulk Electric System. Having over 30 years of utility experience, Rob has held numerous leadership roles in engineering, security and reliability compliance with a specific focus on working to integrate cybersecurity functions across the Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) domains. Rob has a Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering from Queen’s University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and British Columbia.
