The 2025 CIO PEER FORUM® will be held May 28th & 29th at the Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa, ON.

The Flagship Technology Conference for CIOs

The CIO Association of Canada’s annual conference, the CIO Peer Forum, is a vibrant community event for attendees and the profession. We recognize the essential role of the CIO Peer Forum is now more important than ever. We need to bring our IT community together to share the latest trends, provide opportunities for thought leaders to learn about innovations, and be able to network with colleagues in their areas of expertise.

Connect with CIOCAN members and expert speakers from across the country as we share data, insights and best practices as companies shift and pivot to meet new challenges.

Welcome to the 2024 CIO Peer Forum. With a dynamic program planned we are well on our way to a successful conference.  As a committee we developed this year’s theme:

Adaptive Leadership at the Edge of the Future

IT leaders, CIOs, and CISOs understand that change is a constant, but this is unprecedented: AI is challenging the very foundation of society, work and corporate strategy while the technology narrative is increasingly being shaped by voices that span the enterprise. Never before has technology strategy been defined by so many opinions from so many directions. IT leaders must ensure they are a credible voice in shaping the future of their enterprise. The theme for the 2024 CIO Association Peer Forum is, “Inflection Point: Adaptive Leadership at the Edge of the Future.” This year we will delve into the ethics, governance and practical success stories of AI, while equipping IT leaders to create a culture of resilient adaptability and connect to the hearts and minds of stakeholders through storytelling and value mapping.

Opening Keynote

Jon Montgomery

Olympic Gold Medalist | Host, The Amazing Race Canada

Jon Montgomery captured the hearts of Canadians — and the attention of everyone —during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. After years of hard work, training, and perseverance, Montgomery won a gold medal in the skeleton, securing his place in history as one of the best. His celebratory walk through Whistler Village showcased his passion, spirit, and sense of humour — traits that he brings to every platform, whether in front of a live audience or as host of The Amazing Race Canada. Montgomery embraces opportunities to share his journey from the flatlands of the prairies to the top of the Olympic podium, reminding audiences why the goals we set for ourselves are only as achievable as we believe they are.
