CIO Association of Canada Welcomes New CISO Division President: Martin Kyle, Chief Information Security Officer, Payments Canada

The CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) is proud to announce Martin Kyle as the incoming President of the. Mr. Kyle is Chief Information Security Officer at Payments Canada and has previously been one of the key board members for the CISO Division.  Mr. Kyle takes over from Steve Biswanger, who has helped to grow and develop the division over his years as president.

CIOCAN is the only national member-led association that brings professional IT leaders together. Its mission is to make IT leaders better for their own careers by sharing knowledge and professional support. Its vision is a dynamic, Canadian economy propelled by Canada’s CIOs as innovation, security, and business transformation leaders.

Regarding his appointment, Kyle says “I am excited to assume the duties of the President of the CISO Division and look forward to helping connect leaders, facilitate insights, and drive the growth of the division.”

The CISO Division provides a primary, common destination for CISOs and security leaders to congregate and participate in making a strategic impact on information security in Canada. It creates content and organizes events that cater to the interests of the CISO community and raises cybersecurity awareness more broadly.

“The breadth of members in the Association provides a variety of perspectives. Being able to discuss challenges, to work together solving common problems, and to learn from others’ experiences helps us all guard against blind spots and improve security in our respective organizations across Canada,” concludes Kyle.  “I look forward to seeing where the future takes us.”
