Gerry Akkerman is a senior leader with over 37 years of experience in business transformation through technology. Gerry is the Chief Information Officer for Legal Aid British Columbia. He is also the Vancouver Chapter President and Board Member of the CIO Association of Canada.

With a strong technical background, Gerry has spent the past 25 years in leadership roles and continues to demonstrate a passion for the digital business and customer experience. Gerry enjoys encouraging and developing future leaders.

When he is not working, he enjoys mountain biking, wood working, and heading out in his travel trailer.
