Acting Chief Data Officer, Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC)

Kate Burnett-Isaacs is the Acting Chief Data Officer at Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC). With an educational background in Economics and over 12 years at Statistics Canada, she has led initiatives in research, innovation, and statistical production, including championing open-source adoption at national and international levels. Since joining HICC as Director of Data Science in 2023, Kate and her team has advanced AI governance and developed innovative AI products and use cases. Now, as Acting CDO, she is focused on scaling these innovations and leveraging data, AI, and information management to enable business transformation across the department.
