Over the course of the last few days, ERA has seen an increase in donation requests, primarily families who, before COVID-19 did not own a laptop or a computer and would attend their local libraries to gain online access for the likes of school work. However, they are now contacting ERA to apply for a laptop to be able to teach their children from home.
ERA has decided to start a new program with the help of Canadian businesses working with us to supply laptops and computers to families in need.
Some options for families in need include the following:
- Lease to Own:
If you are a family with a low income, in need of a laptop and want to own the laptop eventually we have the answer. ERA has a lease to own a laptop program to help with homework, socializing with family who may be in self-isolation or using it for work. If you are a family who has the means to buy a laptop but you do not want to spend a crazy amount on this device, we have the answer. ERA has budget laptops available to be purchased through filling in the form below. - Rent a Laptop:
If you are a family with a low income and in need of a laptop, ERA has a rent a laptop program to help with homework, socializing with family who may be in self-isolation or using it for work. Fill in the form below for more information. - Free Laptops:
If you are a family who cannot afford any of the above options, ERA will donate laptops to those that qualify based on your income and the number of children you have.
