New Leader for CIOCAN Calgary Chapter

At the recent meeting of the Calgary Chapter Board, long-time board member Thomas Schmidt was elected President, effective immediately. Thomas said “I am very pleased and proud to take on the President role from John (Vince).  His leadership, diligence, and hard work have positioned the chapter to continue on its journey of excellence and represent the National CIO brand.”  During John’s 2-year term as President, chapter membership grew by almost 30%.

Looking forward, John says “The Calgary Chapter is in great hands with Thomas, having been a key driver in our shift towards stronger community coupled with his strong leadership and creative approach.  I’m truly looking forward to seeing where he and the Board will take the Chapter next.” In addition to his duties with the Calgary chapter board, Thomas will join the other regional chapter presidents on the National Board of the CIO Association of Canada.
