Unlocking the Innovation Code: The Talent Imperative

Continuing their series of evidence-based policy briefs, The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) recently released The Talent Imperative in a Global Context. This document sheds light on the changing face of the digital labour market in Canada and highlights the importance of enabling a strong talent supply to enable businesses to compete and grow in scale and scope. Canada’s Innovation Agenda will need to address the technology talent gap to better leverage the impending hyper-connected and smart economy enabled by the Internet of Things (IoT).

ICTC’s policy brief – building off the National Digital Talent Strategy – views the critical first steps as engaging our youth, attracting and retaining global talent and providing skills training for tomorrow’s workforce. Click here to access the paper.
